Information for Homesitters
Town & Country Homesit is looking for homesitters for properties in Christchurch and surrounding areas.
All homesitters must love animals and be comfortable taking care of homeowners’ pets in their absence. This may include walking a dog, feeding/medicating pets, keeping the animals in the routine to which they are accustomed. There is generally no cost to the homesitter, although occasionally for longer sits, the sitter may be asked to contribute to electricity. Retired couples, especially with some stock experience, are always welcome!
Placements can be for a few days or a few months. The homesitter is required to live in the home and keep the areas of the house that they use clean and tidy.
During your interview, Town & Country Homesit will require character references and apply for a Department of Courts check.
The homesitter would always meet with the homeowners and their pets at their home prior to the sit commencing to discuss responsibilities and ensure compatibility. Town & Country Homesit will keep in touch with the homesitter at every stage of the booking, including during the assignment to ensure there are no problems.
Town & Country Homesit has Public Liability Insurance to protect all parties.
